CDGDC Delegation participated in the 2011 EAIE Conference

 

With the approval of MOE, a CDGDC delegation headed by Mr. WANG Lisheng, the Deputy Director General, participated in the 2011 EAIE Conference from September 14 to 16 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The European Association for International Education (EAIE) is a non-profit organization whose main aim is the stimulation and facilitation of the internationalization of higher education in Europe and around the world, and to meet the professional needs of individuals active in international education. It has a committed membership of more than 2300 international education professionals - from rectors to professors to international exchange coordinators. More than 4200 international educators from 87 countries and regions attended 2011 EAIE Conference.
In the evening of Sep.15, the delegation was invited to be present in the EAIE President’s Reception. Mr. WANG and Ms. Gudrun Paulsdottir, the EAIE President, had a half an hour talking during the reception. President Paulsdottir appreciated CDGDC delegation’s participation and expected to see CDGDC representatives every year in the Conference.
In the morning of Sep.16, Mr. WANG met Mr. Herman de Leeuw, the Chair of Admission Officers and Credential Evaluators (ACE) which is a professional committee under the EAIE, and took a deep discussion on the topic of educational credential evaluation. Mr. Leeuw introduced to the delegation how the ECE work done in Holand and the information about newly developed DSDP system. Mr. WANG enquired about the current cooperation of ECE among European countries.
In the afternoon of Sep.16, the delegation attended the session “The Hub of the Universe: Chinese Digital Student Data to Cross the Pond”. Ms. CAO Hongbo, the Associate Director for Credential Verification of CDGDC, delivered the presentation about China’s qualifications verification and case analysis on detected fraud document.
