A Brief Introduction to the China Academic Degrees
and Graduate Education Evaluation Committee

The China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Evaluation Committee (CADGEEC), a special committee subordinate to the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Association, is a social academic organization nationwide consisting of the unit engaged in the work of academic degrees and graduate education and the evaluation institution. CADGEEC accepts the professional guidance of the Office of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (ADCSC) and the administration of the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Association. Its secretariat is located in the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CADGEDC).

The basic tasks of the CADGEEC are as follows: under the guidance of the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Association (CADGEA), to organized and develop scientific studies on and academic exchanges in the field of national academic degrees and graduate education evaluation; to organize independently or to be entrusted to carry out special surveys on and evaluation of academic degrees and graduate education; to hold various academic lectures, training courses, and experience exchange meetings on the evaluation of academic degrees and graduate education; to provide counseling on the evaluation of academic degrees and graduate education and issue the education evaluation information; to enhance the exchanges and cooperation with relative academic organizations in foreign countries and publicize the academic degrees and graduate education evaluation of China; to edit and publish collections of theses, academic monographs and other relative books and materials; and to fulfill the tasks assigned by the CADGEA.

The CADGEEC was established in September, 1995. Up till now, more than 270 units have its membership.
