Examination Dep
The Testing Department is responsible for the test paper setting and the testing management for the national foreign language proficiency tests and the comprehensive disciplinary proficiency tests for the equivalently qualified master degree applicants and the national entrance examinations for the professional master degree applicants in part-time study programs. The department is also engaged in the research into and development of testing methods and testing technology. Meanwhile, it is responsible for investigating and measuring punishments for misconducts in the testing processes.
The National Foreign Language Proficiency Tests And The Comprehensive Disciplinary Proficiency Tests For The Equivalently Qualified Master Degree Applicants
The national foreign language proficiency tests and the comprehensive disciplinary proficiency tests for the equivalently qualified master degree applicants were initiated and have been supervised by The Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (ADCSC) to ensure the degree conferment quality by evaluating the applicants' qualification through such tests. These tests are intended to check whether the applicants have already acquired the required basic theories and specialized knowledge. At present, the tests are held once a year. The foreign language tests are in English, Russian, French, German and Japanese. The comprehensive disciplinary proficiency tests cover 27 disciplines such as philosophy.
The National Entrance Examinations For The Professional Master Degree Applicants In Part-time Study Programs
The national entrance examinations for the professional master degree applicants in part-time study programs are the tests designed by The Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council to help universities and institutes to select and enroll the part-time students for professional master degree programs. The testees are those who are expected to meet the entrance requirements and take the tests concerning their professions. At present, the entrance examinations cover 10 professional degrees: Jurum Master, Education Master, Master's Degree of Engineering, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Agriculture Extension, Veterinary Medicine Professional Master, Master of Public Health, Master of Military Command, Master of Professional Accounting. The two-day-long examinations are held once a year.
Researches
The department is engaged in the researches into testing theories, testing technology and testing methods targeted toward the unique part-time master degree examinations, and it is expanding its exchanges and cooperation with the foreign partners in the testing area.
